For as long as man has been putting paper to pencil, Alaska has conjured up images of a truly wild place that's a little different from anywhere else.
The tough romanticism of Jack London's stories and novels hasn't changed anymore than the spirit of adventure that drove so many men to their death in our planet's coldest regions - both North and South.
The biggest difference is that we're now putting bits into cyberspace instead of pencil to paper, and its a whole lot easier to get here.
