Old City Hall, Toronto
Standing at junction of Queen and Bay St., one of the few non-linear intersections in Toronto - Old City Hall continues to serve as a court of law for traffic and other infractions.
The gothic architecture of the hall is in stark contrast to the sleek modernism that characterizes Bay Street south of here - Canada's financial district is full of the stereotypical glass and steel towers that one would imagine. There is the occassional legacy to a different era when banks were built of sold stone, but they are few and far between.
