Hockey, Trout Lake
Our other grandparents live in North Bay until they moved to B.C. in 1980. We were lucky really; Northern Ontario (even the near north) is a pretty special place.
We learned to skate on Trout Lake, and got our first real wooden tobogans and went ice fishing.
The house was pretty special too; the basement had a large workroom in it. The house was built around a huge boulder which jutted into the workroom, providing hours of entertainment.
