Cycling along the Great Highway
San Francisco has decided to call its coast road Great Highway and it's a pretty appropriate name. Vancouver -- the city I call home -- is a pretty spectacular place and the roads along Jericho Beach and Spanish Banks are pretty stunning, but the Great Highway tracks a different type of coast altogether -- open ocean.
Huge rollers are regular occurences here, crashing into the shore with an energy we don't ever see in Vancouver.
