Entering the Redwood Forest is a bit of a transformation -- while the middle coast of California is a charming, nice to visit area the word I can best use to describe the Redwood National Forest itself is...kitschy.
The trees themselves are stunning, and there's plenty to see. The road is particulary popular with cyclists, and it remains quite twisty.
