Cherry Blossoms Everywhere

I'm in Japan, and that means lots of photos

Cherry Blossoms Everywhere

I've been in Japan for a week now, landing mid-week meant I got two full weekends--and there have been a lot of steps taken so far--32,207 on my first full day to be exact. Also a lot of photos.

My last trip ended just as Sakura season was starting to bloom fully, this one laned firmly in the middle. The city has been awash in pink and yesterday was such a beautiful clear blue sky day that I just started wandering (to be fair, I do this a lot.) The walk south along the Sumida river is quite lovely, and I ended up near the Museum of Contemporary Art again--to early of course.

So the day started in stead with a walk around the Chiyosumi Garden, a small but beautiful garden populated by herons, turtles, and other people seeking a brief respite from the city. There are worse ways to start a day.

Kiysomi Garden is a lovely and tranquil respite in the middle of the city
