Kayaking Clayoquot Sound

On our latest Long Beach weekend I kayaked around Clayoquot sound. I paddled solo this time, in a Seaward Quest; both very nice boats, although mine was a little tippy with a very narrow 22.5 inch beam (width).

It’s Bubar, not Babar

I’ve added to the Bubar pages, with the story of the journey west. I originally had this story in a geneology project that I did when I was young. If anybody wants to put anything else up here, send it to me.

Bubars, July 2001

George Bubar, 7.29.01George Bubar on Ingram Mountain

On the second day of our visit, George took us for a drive up the Ingram Mtn. road, in reality not much more than a logging road. The trip was great, and this picture was taken towards the top of the mountain.

The view from Ingram Mountain is beautiful, with the shrub covered mountains highly visible in the background.

Arthur Bubar, 7.28.01Arthur Bubar

Arthur was caught patiently waiting for dinner on July 28th, 2001.

Bubars, 7.29.01Bubars (Honourary and Otherwise)

An abundance of Bubars were present, and we gathered them around for a photo.

The same photo as above, but the full frame. A large version can be viewed and downloaded (approximately 200k and 1,300 pixels wide.)

Walking in Midway

After a typically enormous dinner, a few of us went for a walk into the setting sun. I couldn’t resist taking pictures.
